The half-timbered house Strukturstrasse 7 in Verden ( Lower Saxony ) is a three-storey brick half-timbered house built in 1577 under the influence of the Weser Renaissance . The incorrectly as Ackerbürgerhaus called Dielenhaus stands for its gable on the half-timbered façade indicate the ornamental colored by a succinct carving, rich in subjects rosettes , leaves and vines are adorned. It is one of the oldest houses in Verden and "is considered to be one of the most magnificent buildings of the Weser Renaissance in the northern Weser region" and an important secular architectural monument in Verden. The client was Henricus Ehlers (Elvers), notary and vicar at the St. Andreas church. The Canon of St. Andrew had one of the first High German inscriptions in Verdens affixed here. The Duchess Charlotte Sophia von Kurland (1651–1728), imperial abbess in Herford Abbey since 1688 , spent her exile (family inheritance disputes) in the house from 1703 until her death.

The building was bought by the city in 1971. There was a less sensitive conversion to the library of the German Horse Museum . In 2000 the horse museum moved to a new domicile on the Holzmarkt. Between 2004 and 2007 the building was extensively renovated. In 2008, on the occasion of the inauguration of the first John Lennon monument in Germany, in Verden, the special exhibition "The many faces of John Lennon" was shown in the building.

The accessibility of the ground floor for the public is guaranteed by the transfer of the floor by the city to a gallery or an artisan. Concerts are also held in the rooms. In 2012, a multimedia presentation on the history of the city of Verden is to be shown on the upper floor in a branch of the Historical Museum. The city is making 58,000 euros available for this.
