description

Historic Scotland give the late 18th century when the house was built. Since large parts of the inner area of the planned town of Inveraray emerged in the 1770s, it is reasonable to assume that Factory Land was also built in this decade. Factory land is built in the traditional style. In the front of both two-story houses, which were built using a closed construction method, entrance doors are let in in the middle, which are surrounded by five lattice windows. A gable roof sits on the north of the two buildings as a central building . The southern one, however, ends with a hipped roof . The roofs are covered with slate shingles. All facades are plastered using the traditional Harling technique. There is a staircase at the back of the building.
