Facundo Silva , full name Facundo Ariel Silva Scheeffer , (born July 4, 1996 in Artigas ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.90 tall goalkeeper, according to the club, comes from the youth department of Danubio FC . There he was Uruguayan champion in 2009 with the Séptima and 2010 with the Sexta . In Apertura 2013 he was already a member of the first team that decided the semi-series championship in their favor. He was also in the squad of the Uruguayan first division team in the 2014/15 season. In the 2015 Clausura he was a regular substitute goalkeeper in the first division games on the reserve bench. Until then, however, he did not get to a use in the Primera División . He made his debut in the Primera División on March 20, 2016 in the 2-1 away defeat against Sud América with a starting eleven. In the 2015/16 season he played a total of three first division matches. During the following season in 2016 he remained without first division. At the end of January 2017, he was loaned to the second division Canadian Soccer Club .

National team

Silva was a member of the Uruguayan U-15 national team and took part in the 2011 South American Championship in Uruguay. He made his debut under coach Fabián Coito on May 29, 2012 in a 1-1 draw in the friendly international match against Paraguay in Uruguay's U-17 team . He was part of the Uruguayan squad at the U-17 South American Championship in Argentina in 2013 . After that, but before the upcoming World Cup, he already had 15 international matches in this age group. With the U-17 selection, he then also took part in the U-17 World Cup in 2013 in the United Arab Emirates .
