The learner Training Regulation (FahrschAusbO) is a regulation of the Federal and serves to ensure a uniform nationwide training in driving schools . It describes which goals are to be achieved in driver training. The aim of the training is to qualify as a safe, responsible and environmentally conscious road user ( § 1 FahrschAusbO).

The goals and contents are named in the learner driver training regulations. The type and scope of training are specified and general training principles are regulated. The theoretical lesson and its sequence are also presented. The regulations describe the level of training (basic level, advanced level, performance level, level of special trips, maturity and test level) in practical lessons. Exceptions to the learner driver training regulations are named.

The FahrschAusbO has seven systems. In addition to framework plans for theoretical teaching in basic material (Appendix 1) and class-specific teaching (Appendix 2), the subject areas for practical teaching (Appendix 3) are also named. In Appendix 4, the special training trips are listed by class. The minimum practical training for classes D1, D1E, D and DE is regulated in Appendix 5. Finally, there are functional and safety checks as well as manual skills in operational and road safety in Appendix 6 and training certificates for minimum theoretical and practical lessons in Appendix 7.
