Faina cherry tree
Faina Kirschenbaum ( Hebrew פאינה קירשנבאום, Born November 27, 1955 in Lemberg , Ukrainian SSR , Soviet Union ) is an Israeli politician and was a member of the Knesset for the nationalist party Jisra'el Beitenu between 2009 and 2015 .
Life
Kirschenbaum was born in 1955 in the then Soviet Lviv (Lviv in Ukrainian) and completed the Aliyah on December 31, 1973. She trained as a nurse at the Beilison Hospital in Petach Tikwa and achieved a bachelor's degree in general studies at Thames Valley University , a master's of Business Administration from the University of Derby and a Certificate in Director's Training from Bar Ilan University in Ramat Gan .
In 1981 she moved to the Jewish settlement of Nili in the West Bank . She worked as a council secretary in the Mateh Benjamin regional council . She also served as vice-chair of the Israeli branch of the World Jewish Congress and is a member of the board of directors of the Museum of the Jewish Diaspora .
In the Israeli parliamentary elections in 2009 , she was ranked tenth in her party Jisra'el Beitenu and moved to the Knesset after the party won 15 seats.
Kirschenbaum is married and has three children.
