action

Ian Hasumi ( 羽 住 衣 杏 , Hasumi Ian ) is a psychically gifted student who has been able to see fairies and other beings from the “outside world” since childhood. As a child, Ian had marks on his back that looked like the wings of a butterfly. Since his mother, who left the family, had similar times, his father burned him out these times. In high school, Ian meets Rin Ishinagi ( 石 椛 鈴 , Ishinagi Rin ), with whom he was friends in kindergarten. The two fall in love. Since Rin seems to be the only one who believes that he really has psychic abilities, he is nicknamed "Ian the Liar". Nobody sees the invisible demon next to him, whom Ian nicknamed "Lizard" ( ト カ ゲ , Tokage ) because of his hair color . "Lizard" hates Ian and wants to destroy his life.

The city where Ian lives is rocked by a strange series of murders known as the "Faerie Murders". Ian meets a strange man at one of the murder scenes. This man, an antique dealer, gives Ian a glass cube that contains a salamander. A little later, Ian is killed by his father in an intrigue by "Lizard". When he comes back as a disembodied spirit, he realizes that "lizard" has taken over his body and wants to approach Rin. Ian seeks revenge and therefore makes a pact with the mysterious Kaito to get a new body. He receives the body of ten-year-old Elijah, who was victim of a fairy murder together with his family.
