Falcon Cycle-Parts is a Taiwanese bicycle component manufacturer founded in Taichung in 1972 . The company is the largest manufacturer of gear shifters in Taiwan, the second largest in the world, and is listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange . Falcon was the second such manufacturer on the western market after Giant .
Falcon produces various bicycle components and is based on the Shimano Tourney series when manufacturing derailleurs . The company provides a year with 1,600 employees, about 4 million parts for bicycles ago, including about 1.2 million transmissions, 1.2 million coaster brakes and 1.4 million freewheels . In addition to the company headquarters in Taichung, Falcon has a sales location in Shenkang Hsiang as well as production facilities and offices in Shenzhen , Shanghai , San Dong , Tianjin and Los Angeles .
