Bones of the Dead of Falein

Falein is an alp and a scattered hamlet in Bergün Filisur , a municipality in the Albula region in the Swiss canton of Graubünden , at an altitude of 1753 to 1869  m above sea level. M. Falein became famous as the location for the first Heidi films ( Heidi from 1952 and Heidi and Peter from 1955 ); the dwelling of the Alpöhi can still be seen today.

During construction work on a mountain hut on Falein in autumn 2014, parts of two skulls and several bones were found. Traces of a violent crime were found on the 1200 year old remains.
