Faliero Rosati (born October 17, 1946 in Pisa ) is an Italian film director and screenwriter .

Life

Rosati graduated with a degree in Modern Literature and was an assistant to Michelangelo Antonioni before being signed to television. In 1976 he was responsible for the two-part “Special” Dietro lo schermo . After a script collaboration with Carlo Lizzani , he made his directorial debut, Morte di un operatore 1978, a television film that was also shown in the cinema. The personal work, which was clearly influenced by Antonioni's imagery, was followed by the documentation Valle dei fonti in 1981 and from 1983 until the end of the millennium, works that were notable in terms of craftsmanship at regular intervals, but more and more often purely commercially oriented (especially television) works, among which Rosati also always again wrote scripts for other directors.
