Falk Roscher

Falk Roscher (* 1944 in Crostau ) is a German lawyer .

From 1993 to 2006 he was the rector of the Esslingen University of Social Sciences (HfS).

Life

After graduating from high school, Roscher began studying law at the University of Tübingen . After his state examination, he worked as a judge at the Tübingen District and Regional Court from 1974 to 1976 . In 1976 he worked briefly as a youth prosecutor, but was appointed professor for labor and social law as well as administrative and constitutional law at the Esslingen University of Social Sciences in the winter semester of 1976/77 . During his teaching activity in Esslingen, he repeatedly accepted other teaching positions at the Institute for Political Science at the University of Stuttgart and at the Institute for Educational Sciences at the University of Tübingen. Finally he was elected rector of the HfS Esslingen in 1993 and remained in office until the university merged with the university of technology. From 1994 to 2006, Roscher was a member of the board of directors of the Baden-Württemberg Rectors 'Conference and from 1998 a deputy member of the Senate of the University Rectors' Conference (HRK). In June 2007, Roscher was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon for his commitment to university politics and his many years of voluntary work in helping the homeless .
