Case (unit)

With case the Scottish was land measure , a measure of length called, located in an old, the ancie at Scott's case and the newer modern Scott case was different. In 1826 the measure was replaced by the newer English measure.

The old dimension was 2513 Parisian lines , which corresponded to 5 ⅔ meters . The newer case was only slightly smaller, 5 3/5 meters being 2499 2/5 Paris lines. In English feet, 18 and 18½ feet faced each other.

  • 1 fall = 6 cubits / cubits = 5.669 meters
    • 1 Elwand / cubit = 418.854 Parisian lines = 0.94486 meters
  • 40 fall = 1 furlong = 240 elwand / cubit
