Fallen Angel was a Swedish speed and thrash metal band from Örebro that was founded in 1986 and split up in 1993 under the name Fallen Angels .

history

The musicians had been active together since 1984 before the group was renamed Fallen Angel in 1986. This was followed by the release of various sound carriers, including the release of the first and only album Faith Fails in 1992 on Massacre Records . In addition, there were several line-up changes during this time. The band also made appearances throughout their careers, including a concert in April 1991 with Prestige . After being renamed Fallen Angels, the group disbanded in 1993.

style

According to classicthrash.com, the band on Faith Falls play an interesting mix of speed and thrash metal, although the vocals would sound immature. According to thethrashmetalguide.com, the group play thrash metal, which is somewhat reminiscent of the San Francisco Bay Area style , such as bands like Metallica and Testament . In addition, parallels to the Swiss Apocalypse and early Megadeth can be heard. The vocals are medium clear and songs like At Night have influences from Power Metal .

Otger Jeske from Iron Pages also called the style “Thrash'n Speed”, but only recognized vocal parallels to Metallica. Mike Biller from Metal Star again noticed the “skull-splitting riffs of the Bay Area brand”, which are accompanied by atypical keyboard and acoustic passages. Overall, he saw Fallen Angel rather "in the tradition of such acts as Hexenhaus , Testament and Mezzrow ".
