The Fallot pentalogy (Syn .: Fallot pentalogy ; Fallot V ) is the name of a malformation syndrome of the heart , which in addition to the malformations of the Fallot tetralogy - i.e. pulmonary stenosis , aorta displaced to the right , which comes to lie over the simultaneously existing ventricular septal defect , and right heart hypertrophy - still associated with an atrial septal defect .

The frequency ratio of Fallot pentalogy and tetralogy is about 1: 4. One can also say that the Fallot tetralogy also has an atrial septal defect in 20% of the cases.

The malformation is named after Étienne-Louis Arthur Fallot .
