The Fallot trilogy is a seldom used term for a malformation syndrome of the heart that is associated with pulmonary stenosis and right heart hypertrophy as well as an atrial septal defect .

The symptoms - essentially a cyanosis caused by the right-left shunt at the atrial level - are similar to those in isolated pulmonary stenosis, i.e. with an intact ventricular septum ( ventricular septum ).

The malformation is named after Étienne-Louis Arthur Fallot .
