The Fan Lake ( English for Schwemmkegelsee ) is a small lake on Annenkov Iceland in the group of islands of South Georgia . It is fed by melt water.
In the west, the lake is bounded by an alluvial cone that gives it its name . The name was given following geological surveys by the British Antarctic Survey between 1972 and 1973.
