Fanny Damaschke

Fanny Damaschke (* in Mecklenburg ) is a former German TV announcer and presenter .

Life

Damaschke passed her Abitur in 1959 at the Goethe High School in Schwerin . In the early 1960s she auditioned at the Ostseestudio Rostock and was able to start her professional career a short time later at the DFF broadcasting center in Berlin-Adlershof . Her career lasted until the end of GDR television in 1991. No other spokesman for the “announcement collective” announced the following GDR television program as often as she did. For many years she also moderated the weekly advice program “Weekend Mosaic” in the evening program and the entertainment program “You for Joy”. Her trademark was her distinctive, deep voice.

In the choice of Germany's most popular TV announcers on the MDR in 2007, Damaschke came fourth behind Susanne Schwab , Gregor König and Petra Kusch-Lück .
