The Farmer Glacier is a glacier in the Ross Dependency of Antarctica . At the southern end of the Surveyors Range, it flows in a north-westerly direction between Mount McKerrow in the north and the Thompson Mountain towering south to the Starshot Glacier .
The namesake of the name, which was confirmed by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names in 2003 , is New Zealander Douglas William Farmer, a member of the winter team at Hallett Station , who had worked there as a technician for geomagnetic measurements.
