Fast Forward (album)

Fast Forward is an album by British musician Joe Jackson that was released on October 2nd, 2015. It is his thirteenth studio project aside from his classic releases and film work.

concept

The album was developed from plans for four EPs with four titles that relate to a specific city. Finally the EPs were combined and arranged into a studio album; the four cities are New York , Berlin , Amsterdam and New Orleans , with all titles arranged and recorded in that city. Jackson worked with different musicians in each location. There are two cover versions , See No Evil by Tom Verlaine and the German 1930s cabaret song Good Bye Johnny by Peter Kreuder . On July 14, 2015, Jackson released the song A Little Smile as an album teaser on the Caroline Records YouTube channel . On August 13th, the album's first single, entitled Fast Forward , was uploaded to SoundCloud .
