Fatih Duran (born February 28, 1987 in Düsseldorf ) is a German - Turkish soccer player .

Career

Fatih Duran began playing football in his hometown with Sportfreunde Düsseldorf and then with Fortuna . There he moved to the second team after his youth and made it to the fourth-class Oberliga Nordrhein in 2007 . After that he took part in the pre-season preparation of the first team, but played only in the U-23 in the following season.

In the 2008/09 season he then moved to the Lower Rhine League at TuRU Düsseldorf . Until then, Duran had always played as a striker, but when the left defender was canceled after an injury, he was used there and did his job so well that it became his regular position from then on. After two years in the sixth highest German division, he tried to find a place in Turkey in professional football, but the change did not materialize. He played another year at TuRU, which just barely missed promotion in 2011 as runner-up.

Then he got an offer from the third division club Rot-Weiß Oberhausen . Duran signed for a year and on the first day of the 2011/12 season he had his first appearance in professional football. However, only four more short assignments followed and so he returned to TuRU Düsseldorf in January 2012 after the winter break. Duran played there for three more years before moving to the national division Sportfreunde Baumberg during the 2015/16 winter break . With the club he rose to the Oberliga Niederrhein . In the summer of 2017 Duran moved to the regional division FSV Duisburg , with whom he also achieved promotion to the league. He then moved to fellow promoted 1. FC Kleve . After a year he left Kleve and went to the Düsseldorf district division SG Unterrath .
