reception

In Ottoman history, the sultanas were mostly married to high Ottoman dignitaries and pashas, from childhood to old age. Fatma and her older sister Ayse Sultan are examples of this because they have both been married about seven times and were between 50 and 61 when they were last engaged. Like her sister Hanzâde, she owned a palace named after her in the Üsküdar district (in Istanbul).
