Fatou N'Diaye

Fatou N'Diaye (* 1980 in Saint-Louis ) is a Senegalese actress .

Life

At the age of eight, she and her mother left Senegal to have lived in France ever since . In 1997 she was discovered by the well-known fashion photographer Oliviero Toscani . After some work as a model , she turned to acting. She first appeared in front of the camera in 2001 in a French television film that was followed by a number of television and cinema productions.

In 2002 she took on the leading role in the multi-layered, multiple award-winning musical comedy Nha Fala - My Voice . She gained further international fame in 2006 through A Sunday in Kigali , a love drama set in the 1994 genocide in Rwanda . For this she has been awarded at several film festivals, including the award for best actress at the Marrakech International Film Festival .
