Fatuk Bossok are stone altars of the traditional religion of Timor in East Timor . Traditionally they are piled up from rough stones without mortar. An ai to'os (the East Timorese variant of a totem pole ) can stand in its center . In a Fatuk Bossok, urns of the deceased can also be kept or stones or plants regarded as holy ( lulik ) can be placed on them . But these altars are always a place of worship.
