Fahisoi is an East Timorese Suco in the administrative office of Remexio ( municipality of Aileu ).

Before the 2015 territorial reform, Fahisoi had an area of ​​13.97 km². Now it is 10.98 km². The Suco is located in the southwest of the Remexio administrative office and has an area of ​​13.97 km². To the north is the Suco Acumau , northeast of the Suco Fadabloco and east of the Suco Maumeta . In the west Fahisoi borders on the administrative office Aileu with the sucos Saboria and Fahiria and in the south on the administrative office Lequidoe with a suco, which is also called Fahisoi . The Tatamailiu River rises on the southern border and the Bauduen on the northern border . Both rivers flow east and are part of the Northern Laclós system . The Rureda rises in the northwest and flows west to Saboria. Its water also ends in Northern Lacló after it has drawn an arch through the municipality.

The country road leads through the west, which connects the place Remexio and the state capital Dili in the north with the place Lequidoe in the south. The villages Buahun , Deruti ( Deruhati , Derohati ), Maunahei , Ritutu and Aitoi are located on it . East of the road are the places Mautoba and, in the northeast corner of Sucos, Bereliurai ( Bere Liurai , Berlorai ). There is a primary school in Bereliurai, the Escola Primaria Fahisoi .

In the Suco there are the three Aldeias Bereliurai , Deruti and Mautoba .

Residents

The Suco has 1290 inhabitants (2015), of which 631 are men and 659 women. The population density is 117.5 inhabitants / km². There are 193 households in the Suco. More than 60% of the population name Mambai as their mother tongue. Over 35% speak Tetum Prasa and a small minority speak Habun .

politics

In the 2004/2005 elections , Leonardo de Jesus was elected Chefe de Suco. Rafiel de Jesus won the elections in 2009 and Adolfo da Cruz in 2016 .
