Tulataqueo ( Tulataqeo , Tulatakeu ) is an East Timorese suco in the administrative office of Remexio ( municipality of Aileu ).

Before the 2015 territorial reform, Tulataqueo had an area of ​​43.68 km². Now there are 45.11 km². The Suco is to the east of the Remexio administrative office. To the north lies the Suco Liurai , west of the Suco Acumau and south of the Suco Faturasa . To the east, Tulataqueo borders on the Laclo administrative office, which belongs to the municipality of Manatuto, with its Suco Hohorai . The northern border of Tulataqueo follows the river Cihohani in which the springing in Suco Raitaran flows. The southern border follows the Lohun . The rivers are part of the Northern Laclós system .

The country road that connects the towns of Laclo and Remexio leads right through Tulataqueo . The villages Harobuti ( Haobuti ), Aicurus ( Aikurus ) and Roluli ( Roruli ) lie on it, and a little to the north of it are the places Fatubelar , Samalete and Nunudamar . There is a medical station in Samalete and a helipad in Aicurus. There are primary schools in Roluli, Aicurus and Fatubelar.

In the Suco there are the four Aldeias Aicurus , Dacilelo , Roluli and Samalete .

Residents

2170 inhabitants (2015) live in the Suco, of which 1103 are men and 1067 women. The population density is 48.1 inhabitants / km². There are 346 households in the Suco. Over 90% of the residents state Mambai as their mother tongue. The rest speak Tetum Prasa .

history

In mid-1977, a meeting of the central committee of FRETILIN took place in Aicurus , at which the fight against the Indonesian occupiers was reoriented.

politics

In the elections of 2004/2005 was Adolfo Mendonça Mauhuno elected Chefe de Suco and in 2009 re-elected. In the elections in 2016 won Luisa de Andrade .
