Hohorai is an East Timorese Suco in the Laclo Administrative Office ( Manatuto municipality ).

Before the 2015 territorial reform, Hohorai had an area of ​​51.29 km². Now there are 36.43 km². The Suco is to the north of the Laclo administrative office. To the north and east is the Suco Lacumesac , south of the Suco Uma Naruc . In the northwest Hohorai adjacent to the to the community Dili belonging Office of Administration Metinaro with his Suco Wenunuc and the west by the the community Aileu belonging Office of Administration remexio subdistrict with its Sucos Liurai , Tulataqueo and Faturasa .

Through the north of the river flows Hohorai Lihobani in the coming of remexio subdistrict Cihohani flows. Before that, the Beruhunatan from Wenunuc flows into the Cihohani. The Lihobani then flows further east to Lacumesac, as does the Hutossi , Ueseic and Sarlolao rivers , which have their source further south in Hohorai . The country road that connects Laclo and Remexio leads through the south . The places Uniabeuk ( Umaheuk ), Anicolaun ( Anicalau ) and Sabomata are located on it . The road crosses Hohorai again at its easternmost point. Here is the village of Reabuticeon . The town of Rehatu is close to the Hutossi River , and further south on the Ueseic is the village of Robai . Hatu Ermera ( Hatomera ) is located on the western border . In Hatu Ermera there is a primary school ( Escola Primaria Hohorai ) and a medical station. Reabuticeon has a kindergarten.

The four Aldeias Anicolaun , Hatu Ermera , Hatanaun and Miri Huhun are located in the Suco .

Residents

The Suco has 969 inhabitants (2015), of which 486 are men and 483 women. The population density is 26.6 inhabitants / km². There are 149 households in the Suco. Almost 99% of the population name Mambai as their mother tongue. A small minority speaks Tetum Prasa .

history

In the presidential elections in East Timor in 2007 , there was a risk of running out of ballot papers in the election office in the elementary school. A helicopter had to fly in additional voting cards from Dili .

politics

In the elections of 2004/2005 was Francisco Inacio Soares elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections , Ronaldo A. Soares won .

economy

There is a deposit of gabbro at Hatu Ermera .
