Uma Naruc ( Umanaruk ) is an East Timorese Suco and Aldeia in the Laclo administrative office ( Manatuto municipality ).

Before the 2015 regional reform, Uma Naruc had an area of 88.26 km². Now there are 74.67 km². The Suco is located in the south of the Laclo administrative office. To the north are the sucos Lacumesac and Hohorai . In the south of Uma Naruc lies the administrative office Laclubar with its Sucos Sananain , Batara and Funar and in the west the administrative office Remexio with its Suco Faturasa belonging to the municipality of Aileu . The Northern Laclo , one of the few rivers in northern Timor that carries water all year round, reaches the Suco in the southwest, where the Madarmalan from Uma Naruc also flows into it. With its tributary Aimaleum , the Northern Lacló forms part of the border with Funar, then crosses Uma Naruc and then follows the northern border with Lacumesac. The western northern border is formed by the Lohun , another tributary. In the far north, the Northern Lacló is sometimes called Tihoham . Where it leaves Uma Naruc, the Lago Coi flows into the Tihoham, which crosses Uma Naruc from the border with Batara. In the far east, the boho forms the border with Sananain.

In the north, on the banks of the Northern Laclós, lies the village of Bahadic , where the Sucos primary school is located. Near the Lohun are the villages of Fahilacor and Matilau .

The four Aldeias Bua , Hahi-Lacor , Uma Naruc and Uma Surat are located in the Suco .

Residents

1198 inhabitants live in the Suco (2015), of which 607 are men and 591 women. The population density is 16.0 inhabitants / km². There are 200 households in the Suco. Over 81% of the population name Galoli as their mother tongue. Over 17% speak Mambai and a minority speak Tetum Prasa .

politics

In the elections of 2004/2005 was Estanislao (Estanislau) de Carvalho elected Chefe de Suco and in 2009 re-elected.
