Fahisoi is an East Timorese place and Suco in the administrative office of Lequidoe ( municipality of Aileu ).

Fahisoi has 1,204 inhabitants (2015), 598 of whom are men and 606 women. The population density is 176.6 inhabitants / km². There are 169 households in the Suco. Almost 93% of the population name Mambai as their mother tongue. Almost 6% speak Tetum Prasa and a small minority speak Tetum Terik .

Before the 2015 territorial reform, Fahisoi had an area of ​​8.01 km². Now it is 6.82 km². The Suco is located in the northwest of the Lequidoe administrative office. To the south are the sucos Manucassa , Namolesso and Acubilitoho . In the west Fahisoi borders on the administrative office of Aileu with its Suco Fahiria and in the north on the administrative office of Remexio with its sucos Fahisoi , Maumeta and Hautoho . The Tatamailiu River flows along the northern border and flows into the Coioiai , the southern border river, in the east .

In the center of Fahisoi, the overland road coming from Remexio ends in Lequidoe ( Liquidoe ). The other larger Sucos settlements are on the road and around Lequidoe: Fahisoi , Tatilisame ( Tatilsame ), Aituin , Ereluli , Locotoi ( Lokotui ), Dailorluta ( Dailorluti ) and, somewhat to the northwest, Daufalan ( Daulalan ). There is a primary school and a pre-secondary school in Lequidoe.

In the Suco there are the three Aldeias Dailorluta , Locotoi and Tatilisame .

politics

In the 2004/2005 elections , Mouzinho Santiago was elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections , Felomena Soares was the only female Chefe de Suco to win in the municipality of Aileu. She was confirmed in office in 2016 .
