The Fraure Islands ( French Îles Maurice Faure ) are a group of rocky islands and reefs in the Marguerite Bay before Fallières coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . They extend 32 km southeast of Cape Alexandra at the southeast end of Adelaide Island over a length of 5 km.
It was discovered by participants in the Fifth French Antarctic Expedition (1908–1910) under the direction of polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot . Charcot named it after the French politician Maurice-Louis Faure (1850-1919).
