The term Adelaide and Biscoe Islands or Adelaide-Biscoe Islands is occasionally used to summarize the neighboring island groups of the Biscoe Islands and the Adelaide Island with its offshore islands under one parent group. The archipelago lies in the Argentine , British and Chilean Antarctic Territories , but these claims have been suspended since the Antarctic Treaty came into force .

The islands have an area of 5618 km². The highest point is Mount Gaudry (2315 m) on Adelaide Island. They were discovered by John Biscoe in 1831 on the third circumpolar expedition.
