Faustini is an impact crater on the lunar front near the South Pole, south of Amundsen crater and east of Shoemaker . Due to its location near the South Pole, the interior of the eroded crater is mostly in shadow.
The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1994 after the Italian polar explorer Arnaldo Faustini .
