Favões is a village in the Marco de Canaveses district in Portugal . It has 1233 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
Until the new municipal structure in Portugal came into effect on September 29, 2013, Favões formed its own municipality ( freguesia ). It was merged with the communities of Ariz and Magrelos to form the new community of Bem Viver . The administrative seat of the new municipality is in Ariz.
