Fayez al-Tarawneh ( Arabic فايز الطراونة, DMG Fāyiz aṭ-Ṭarāwina ; * 1949 in Amman ) is a Jordanian politician .

Tarawneh studied at the University of Jordan and the University of Southern California and then entered the civil service. Among other things, he acted as his country's ambassador to the United States . He was Prime Minister of Jordan from August 20, 1998 to March 4, 1999 as successor to Abdelsalam al-Majali . He was followed by Abdelraouf al-Rawabdeh . From May 2, 2012 to October 11, 2012, Tarawneh was again prime minister of his country as the successor to Aun Shaukat al-Chasauneh .
