Fcγ receptors

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fcγ receptors are a group of surface proteins from the group of Fc receptors . Fcγ receptors bind immunoglobulin G , depending on the subtype and receptor with different affinity . They are involved in the immune response by activating phagocytes to phagocytosis . Examples of Fcγ receptors are Fcγ receptor Ia , Fcγ receptor Ib and Fcγ receptor Ic , which are referred to as CD64a , CD64b and CD64c . Further examples are Fcγ receptor IIa (synonym CD32a), Fcγ receptor IIb (synonym CD32b), Fcγ receptor IIc , Fcγ receptor IIIa (synonym CD16a) and Fcγ receptor IIIb (synonym CD16b).
