Fedelm Noíchride
Fedelm Noíchride [ 'fʼeðʼelm' noiçrʼiðʼe ] ("Fedelm Nine-Heart"), also Fedelm Noíchrothach ("Fedelm Neunmalschön"), is the name of a legendary figure from the Celtic mythology of Ireland .
In the Táin Bó Cuailnge ("The cattle robbery of Cooley ") Fedelm Noíchride is the daughter of the King of Ulster , Conchobar mac Nessa and the wife of Cairbre Nia-Fers , the king of Tara . She begins a love affair with the Ulter hero Cú Chulainn , although in a later corrected version of the text her servant is said to have been the lover. After Cairbres death at the hand of Cú Chulainn, Fedelm married Conall Cernach , who had killed her son Erc mac Cairbri Niad-Fer in revenge for Cú Chulainn's murder.
In the story Fled Bricrenn ("Bricrius Fest") Fedelm Noíchride is mentioned as the wife of the warrior Loegaire Buadach .
