Jorge Alves Bezerra
Jorge Alves Bezerra SSS (born April 23, 1955 in São João de Meriti ) is a Brazilian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Paracatu .
Life
Jorge Alves Bezerra joined the religious community of the Eucharist , made his profession on January 5, 1982 and was ordained a priest on August 10, 1985 .
Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Jardim on May 21, 2008 . He was ordained bishop by the Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for the Clergy , Cláudio Hummes, OFM , on August 10th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Aldo de Cillo Pagotto SSS, Archbishop of Paraíba , and Joviano de Lima Júnior SSS, Archbishop of Ribeirão Preto .
On November 7, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him. to the Bishop of Paracatu.
