João Gilberto de Moura

João Gilberto de Moura (born November 21, 1963 in Ituiutaba , Minas Gerais state , Brazil ) is Bishop of Jardim .

Life

João Gilberto de Moura studied philosophy at the Maria Imaculada seminary in Araxá from 1990 to 1991 and Catholic theology at the Maria Imaculada seminary in Ribeirão Preto from 1992 to 1995 . He received on 10 December 1995, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

In 1996 de Moura was appointed vicar at the São José Cathedral in Ituiutaba and Regens of the Santo Cura d'Ars Seminary . In addition, he was spiritual guide of the Serra Movement until 1996 and responsible for vocational pastoral care in the Ituiutaba diocese until 1997 . From 1997 to 2003 João Gilberto de Moura was pastor of the parish of Cristo Rei in Centralina . In addition, from 1999 he was responsible for youth pastoral care in the diocese of Ituiutaba. From 2002 to 2006 João Gilberto de Moura was Diocesan Chancellor. In addition, from 2002 to 2008 he was pastor of the parish of São Francisco de Assis in Ituiutaba. In 2006 he became vicar general of the diocese of Ituiutaba. On June 3, 2008, Pope Benedict XVI awarded him the honorary title of Honorary Prelate to His Holiness .

On July 3, 2013, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Jardim. The bishop of Ituiutaba , Francisco Carlos da Silva , ordained him episcopal on September 6th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the retired Archbishop of Uberaba , Aloísio Roque Oppermann SCI , and the Archbishop of Montes Claros , José Alberto Moura CSS . The inauguration took place on September 29, 2013.
