Bruno Pedron

Bruno Pedron SDB (born March 6, 1944 in Torreglia , Padua ) is an Italian religious and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of Ji-Paraná .

Life

After he had made his first profession in the order of the Salesians of Don Bosco on August 16, 1963 and had completed his philosophical-theological studies, he was ordained a priest on April 6, 1974 . In the religious community he worked as director of studies, economist, pastor, director of an Indian mission, director of a faculty of law, economics, administration in Campo Grande , director of the Salesian aspirant in Campo Grande, director of the faculty and the Salesian complex of Lins .

Pope John Paul II appointed him coadjutor bishop of Jardim on March 24, 1999 . The Archbishop of Campo Grande , Vitório Pavanello SDB, donated him episcopal ordination on May 21 of the same year . Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Rodonópolis , Juventino Kestering , and the Bishop of Jardim, Onofre Cândido Rosa SDB. His coat of arms is "Ut Unum Sint".

With Onofre Cândido Rosa's resignation on August 4, 1999, he succeeded him as Bishop of Jardim.

On April 11, 2007 he was by Pope Benedict XVI. appointed Bishop of Ji-Paraná and inaugurated on June 24 of the same year.

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on June 5, 2019.
