Federación Deportiva Peruana de Bádminton
The Federación Deportiva Peruana de Bádminton (FDPB) is the highest national administrative organization in the sport of badminton in Peru . The current president is Zarko Cukic .
history
The association, based in Lima , was founded in 1965 as Comisión Peruana de Bádminton . National championships were held from 1967 onwards, but badminton was played in the Club de Regatas Lima as early as 1963 . The Comisión Peruana de Bádminton became a founding member of the continental umbrella organization Badminton Pan Am in 1976 , then known as the Pan American Badminton Confederation . In 2001 the Comisión was renamed Federación Deportiva Peruana de Bádminton .
