Hanne Engberg

Hanne Engberg (birth name: Hanne Alice Chrom ; born September 11, 1935 in Frederiksborg ) is a Danish writer . In 1994 she was awarded the Søren Gyldendal Prize .

Life

After graduating from high school in Frederiksborg in 1953, she began studying Danish and English and graduated in 1962 with a master's degree .

She made her literary debut in 1979 with Rejsen til Smyrna . In addition to several other prizes, she received a scholarship from the Carlsberg Foundation between 1992 and 1996 . In 1994 she was awarded the Søren Gyldendal Prize for the book En Frigørelseshistorie. Margrethe Vullum 1846-1918 awarded. In 1996 a biography of the poet Helge Rode was published with the title En Digters Historie. Helge Rode 1870-1937 .
