Federica Tafuro (born October 7, 1989 in Trieste ) is a former Italian grass skier . She took part in international grass ski races from 2004 to 2006.

Career

Tafuro competed in their first international races at the 2004 Junior World Championship in Rettenbach . But she was only penultimate or last in ninth place in the giant slalom and the Super-G. At the FIS races in Traisen and Rettenbach in June and July 2005, she was only able to classify herself in the bottom field with two ninth and two tenth places. On June 18 and 19, 2005, Tafuro started the World Cup for the first time in L'Aquila , but was disqualified in both slaloms. She won her first and this year only World Cup points on July 17th with eleventh place in the second Super-G of Forni di Sopra , which made her 13th and last place in the overall World Cup of the 2005 season. At the Italian Championships in 2005 she reached third place in the Super-G and fourth in the slalom, at the Junior World Championships 2005 she did not take part.

At the beginning of 2006, Tafuro finished tenth in the Super-G and twelfth in the giant slalom in the FIS races in Traisen. In July she started at the Junior World Championships 2006 in Horní Lhota u Ostravy , but this time too she finished sixth in slalom and combined as well as eighth in Super-G only as penultimate or last. She got the only World Cup points of the 2006 season on September 3rd with eleventh place in the Super-G of Forni di Sopra and thus came in last place in the overall World Cup as in the previous year. She has not participated in any races since 2007.
