Federico Bergara , full name Raúl Federico Bergara Pintos , (born December 29, 1971 in Montevideo ) is a former Uruguayan football player .

Career

societies

The 1.74 meter tall defensive player Bergara belonged to the Rampla Juniors team at the beginning of his career in 1989 . He then played from 1990 to the end of 1997 for the Racing Club de Montevideo . During the 1997 season he came there in 21 games of the Primera División for use and scored three goals. From 1998 to 2000 he was active for Nacional Montevideo . During this period the "Bolsos" won the Uruguayan championship in 1998 and 2000 respectively. Bergara played 70 games across the seasons in the top Uruguayan league and scored one goal. From 2001 to the end of 2002, Estudiantes de La Plata was his employer. With the Argentines he ran in 28 first division games (no goal).

National team

Bergara made his debut on June 17, 1999 in the 2: 3 away win in the friendly international match against the Paraguayan selection in the Uruguayan senior team , when he was ordered by coach Víctor Púa in the starting line-up.
