Federico Ochoa

Federico Ochoa (born July 13, 1940 in Mexico City ), with full name José Federico Ochoa Pérez , is a former Mexican football player on the position of goalkeeper , who worked as a goalkeeping coach after his active career.

Life

Born in the Mexican capital, Ochoa played on an amateur basis for a team called Catalonia in the most important capital league and as a professional for his "home club" Club America as well as the CF Torreón , the CD Zacatepec and the Puebla FC . He also guarded the goal of the Mexican national team on December 2, 1969 in a game for the CONCACAF Nations Cup 1969 against Guatemala (0: 1) .

After his active career, Ochoa worked as a goalkeeping coach for the UNAM Pumas , Cruz Azul and Necaxa , among others .
