Federico Salas Lotfe

Federico Salas Lotfe (born September 18, 1955 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican ambassador . He was Ambassador to Prague from May 30, 2001 to 2007 and Ambassador to Tel Aviv from June 14, 2007.

He holds a bachelor's degree from Harvard University and a master's degree in political science from El Colegio de México . For the Ministry of Foreign Affairs he was a Member of the United Nations from 1983 to 1988. He was Director General to International Organizations and Advisor to the Chief of Staff from 1988 to 1989 and from January 1998 to December 2000 he was Chief of Staff and Director of Planning Policy. He has been a member of the Mexican delegation since 1991 and became ambassador on January 23, 2000.

He was also professor of foreign policy and international relations at many Mexican universities and the diplomatic schools of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has published many articles on international politics and Mexico's foreign policy.
