fairy chess (magazine)

feenschach is a German chess magazine for a special field of chess composition . First and foremost, chess compositions (original prints and reprints) as well as articles from fairy tale chess and retro exercises are published. Various meetings of chess composers at home and abroad are also reported in pictures and text.

The magazine was founded in 1949 by Hans Doormann, Wilhelm Hagemann and Wilhelm Karsch . The editor until 1970 was Wilhelm Karsch, who edited volumes 1–11. His successor was Peter Kniest (volume 12-20), who in turn was replaced in 1988 by Bernd Ellinghoven. In recent years, Hans Gruber has played a major role in its editorial design .

The magazine appears irregularly and can be obtained from the publisher. It is obtained from friends of this type of chess all over the world. Their number of copies is unknown.
