Felicitas Kubala (born January 26, 1956 in Berlin ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

Life and work

She grew up in Berlin-Haselhorst . From 1976 to 1978 she was an educator and 1981/82 managing director of the Berlin DJK Association for competitive and popular sports . From 1984 to 1990 Kubala worked for the Senate Department for Urban Development and Environmental Protection. In 1987 she graduated from the Berlin School of Economics with a degree in business administration. She also studied at the Free University of Berlin and became an economist in 1993. She then worked as a freelancer and then from 1994 to 2000 head of the Steglitz Environment Agency.

Kubala became a member of the Greens in 1984. In 2001 she was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives for the first time via the state list . From 2009 to 2011 she was deputy group leader. She was a member of the Committee on Urban Development and the Environment and the Committee on Sport as well as spokeswoman for her group for environmental and sport policy. In 2012, Kubala was elected mayor for the environment and citizen services in Mannheim .

She left the Berlin House of Representatives at the end of 2012; Silke Gebel moved up for them . She took up her new office in 2013.
