Felix Büter

Felix Büter (born April 21, 1959 in Ahaus ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 2004 to 2015 he was mayor of the Münsterland city ​​of Ahaus.

Life

The Felix Büters family comes from Ahaus. His father was the works council chairman of the Zündwarenfabrik in Ahaus founded in 1881 and a member of the city council. After completing secondary school , Felix Büter began training in 1975 at the AOK Ahaus as a social security specialist . After completing his basic military service, he trained as a business economist at the AOK. In 1985 he began further training at the Administration and Business Academy in Dortmund , which he completed as an administrative business economist (VWA) . From 1996 on he was area manager of the AOK.

Felix Büter has been a city council member in Ahaus since 1989. In 1995 he became deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group and in 1999.

Felix Büter is married and has a son and a daughter.

In the mayoral election in 2004, Felix Büter became the new mayor of Ahaus with 62.6 percent of the valid votes as the successor to Dirk Korte (CDU), who was no longer running for reasons of age. In the mayoral election in 2009, Felix Büter was confirmed in office with 57.8 percent of the valid votes. In November 2013, he announced that he would not be available for another term for personal reasons.
