Felix Schreier

Felix Schreier (born July 11, 1989 ) is a German basketball coach .

career

Schreier played basketball in the youth team of BV Chemnitz 99 from 2001 , coached basketball youth teams from 2007 and was part of the coaching staff of the second and third Chemnitz men's teams. Then he became assistant coach of the Chemnitz team in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA . When Torsten Loibl stepped out of his contract as head coach in the summer of 2011, Schreier became his successor and, at the age of only 22, was the main coach of the second division team. In the first season (2011/12) of his tenure, Schreier led Chemnitz as third in the table in the ProA finals, where they were eliminated in the quarter-finals against Düsseldorf. In the 2012/13 and 2013/14 seasons, the playoff qualification was missed.

In October 2014, Schreier was given leave of absence as head coach from Chemnitz after the team opened the 2014/15 season under his leadership with one win and four losses.
