The Felskinnbahn is an aerial cableway built in 1969 by the Von Roll company up to the 2989 meter high Felskinn near Saas-Fee . The renewal of the facility took place in 2006.

The railway has an operating length of 3635 meters and overcomes a height difference of 1146 meters in its course. The cabins hold 90 + 1 people, both cabins have been completely new and painted red since 2006 (previously one was painted red, the other blue). The maximum speed of the Felskinnbahn is 36 km / h (10 m / s). The Felskinnbahn has three individual supports in the lower section and two supports (pairs) in the upper section. At the poles 4 six hundred thirty-seven thousand and sixty-one  /  103493 stopover mentioned with exit was an also masts 4 called hut in metal containers, which was replaced by a modern restaurant in timber of 2005. The next pole pair 637000  /  103020 , passes under the western tower a drag lift is carried out because of the glacier zone and sliding design.

The underground funicular Metro Alpin runs from the Felskinn mountain station to the “ Mittelallalin ” station on the north face of the Allalinhorn . During the construction of this railway, the building materials were transported with the Felskinnbahn.

The Felskinnbahn gained worldwide fame through the video for Last Christmas by Wham! , which was filmed in Saas-Fee and in which you can see the band members arrive at the valley station in an off-road vehicle and get into one of the cabins. Normally it is not possible to drive to the valley station as Saas Fee is car-free; in winter you can overcome the almost 60 m difference in altitude between the edge of the village and the Felskinnbahn valley station with the Bifig 1 and 2 tow lifts.
