The Täschhorn is located in the Valais Alps and has a height of 4491  m .

The Täschhorn belongs to the Mischabel group , the second highest mountain massif in Switzerland after Monte Rosa . The Täschhorn is one of the four-thousand-meter peaks in Valais that are difficult to climb . Due to the demanding normal route (Mischabelgrat), this summit is relatively seldom climbed .

The first ascent of the Täschhorn took place on July 30, 1862 by Stefan and Johannes Zumtaugwald , J. Llewelyn Davies, JW Hayward and Peter-Josef Summermatter over the NW flank (Kinflanke) directly from Randa .
