Development Metro Alpin from Felskinn

The Mittelallalin ( 3457  m above sea level ) is a secondary peak of the Allalinhorn ( 4027  m above sea level ) in the Valais Alps . The summit, which is of little alpine significance in itself, has been the terminus of the Metro Alpin since 1984 . Part of the facilities is the "Allalin revolving restaurant", which claims the title of "highest revolving restaurant in the world". From the mountain station of the Metro Alpin, a 70 m long tunnel leads to a 5,000 m³ ice grotto in the Fee Glacier , the so-called ice pavilion.

The Mittelallalin is the center of the summer ski area (3,162–3,573 m) on the Fee Glacier . It also serves as a starting point for mountaineers for high-altitude tours , especially for climbing the Allalinhorn and the Alphubel .
